Spanish Club Cadiz Calls For Justice For Late Mohbad

As family, friends, fans, and well-wishers continue to grieve over the loss of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, Spanish club Cadiz CF,  have sent their condolence message to the family of the deceased.

Mohbad died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and he was buried on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

The death of Ilerioluwa has continued to generate different reactions, including calls for justice, due to the circumstances surrounding his death.

Mohbad’s management, on Monday, September 25, 2023, announced a candlelight procession and tribute night for the late artist which will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

Via a comforting message shared by Cadiz CF on the club’s social media platform, they express their shock and sadness over the death of the musician.

A statement shared by the club on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, on their official Twitter handle reads:

“We continue to be shocked and saddened by the news of the death of Nigerian rapper @iammohbad,”

“We wish for rest and justice for the family. Your star will shine brighter than ever in the sky. RIP Mohbad.”

Cadiz CF also made a shirt on Thursday, September 21, 2023, for Mohbad and they sent their support to the fans of the musician in this trying time.

They wrote: “🤛 Don’t worry. Here is the Cádiz jersey with the 2⃣7⃣”

Celebrities all across the world; including American rappers Lil Durk and Kodak Black have also sent in their condolences to the late Ilerioluwa Aloba.

Past and present Nigerian footballers have also sent their condolences to Mohbad including current Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.

The Udinese goalie quoted a tweet from Mohbad’s page which confirmed the death of the musician, and he wrote: “R.I.P. Imole”.

Who was Mohbad?

He was a Nigerian singer who was born in Ketu, Lagos State, Nigeria. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba was born on June 8, 1996, and he died aged 27, on September 12, 2023.

Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Records, and he left the label in 2022, following an alleged case of bullying and harassment.

The late singer was best known for his hit singles “Ponmo, Feel Good”, “Peace” and several other fantastic songs.

Ilerioluwa Aloba was married to a lady, whose name is Wunmi, and they had one son together.

Mohbad’s song “Peace”, sits pretty at the 2nd spot on the Billboard chart for the hot trending songs currently.

The late musician also has two other songs trending in the top 10, with his song “Feel Good” at number 5, and “Ask About Me” at number 8.
