Hermoso, 33, shared a photo of herself in bed alongside the coveted FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy.
Jennifer Hermoso played a very important role in the just concluded Women’s World Cup that saw Spain beat England in the final, netting three goals throughout the tournament.
Fans took to X (Formaly Twitter) to express themselves on the Spanish veteran’s image, highlighting Lionel Messi’s influence in football.
Lionel Messi’s photo with the World Cup trophy had previously garnered worldwide attention, and it got about 54 million likes on Instagram.
The image stands as the third-most liked post on the renowned social media platform with his other post with the trophy toping the list with 75.6 million likes.
The recreation by Jennifer Hermoso has also garnered a lot of attention from the footballing fraternity.
Hermoso has been in the news after Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales controversially kissed her on the lips following their 1-0 win.
However, she addressed the issue, while speaking during a live Instagram session. Hermoso said: “I did not enjoy it.”
She also went on to add that: “It was a totally spontaneous mutual gesture because of the immense joy that winning a World Cup brings.”
“The president and I have a great relationship, his behaviour with all of us has been outstanding and it was a natural gesture of affection and gratitude.”

Jennifer Hermoso just like Lionel Messi has also played for Barcelona and PSG after securing a move to the French capital from Catalonia in 2017.
The Spanish international is also the all-time scorer of her national team with 51 goals to her name, while Messi has scored 103 goals for Argentina.

She has won the award fives time altogether while at Atletico Madrid, Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona.
