Son Heung-min has sent a warning to Premier League rivals that his devastating partnership with Tottenham teammate Harry Kane won’t fade as the two look to improve a notable entry in the English top division record books.
No other tandem has been as productive in the modern period, and in the 2021–22 season, Kane and Son proved that they are the best duo in the Premier League.
They are on the verge of making the almost perfect partnership of Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard of Chelsea nothing when compared to theirs.
Son and Kane are currently five goals ahead of the competition after combining for a remarkable haul of 41 goals. However, due to their mutual “greed,” both players intend to set an even higher standard in the 2022–23 season.

Son and Kane will look to get Spurs off to a fast start when they face Southampton at home on August 6 in the opening match of the new Premier League season.

Over the course of his seven years at Tottenham, the 30-year-old has established himself as a global superstar, but he freely confesses to drawing inspiration from others.
One player he holds in particular respect is a Brazil international on the books at Paris Saint-Germain; it was discovered last season that Son frequently asks other well-known athletes if they are aware of who he is.
Regarding his favorite players, he continued, “Neymar is a guy who I really like, and he has been a big source of inspiration for me in football.
“I recently talked to a Brazilian player on my team and joked, ‘Does Neymar know me?’ and he responded, ‘Sonny, like we talk about Neymar, they also talk about you and Kane.’”
