Lionel Messi relationship with Paris Saint-Germain is already broken, and he will leave the club at the end of the season, just two years after joining the club.

The former Barcelona player’s contract ends this season, and the Paris Saint-Germain supporters do not want the club to renew it.

Teams all over the world are aware of the situation, but only seven are capable of signing a big-name player like Lionel Messi. Below are the clubs:

Chelsea

Blues owner Todd Boehly wants to attract big players to his club and compete for silverware next season. This season, he spent £600 million on new players and will continue to invest heavily in the club.

Chelsea almost signed Cristiano Ronaldo, but the deal was stopped by then-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

It would be a surprise if Boehly signed Lionel Messi when he became a free agent at the end of the season.

Also, Messi would love the prospect of linking up with former PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.

The London club are currently discussing this with the Argentine manager, and he would love to return to the Premier League, where he had more success.

Manchester United

The Red Devils are in the rebuilding phase, with Erik Ten Hag ready to release more players at the end of the season.

Also, there are possibilities that a new owner will be coming in to replace the Glazers family.

Erik Ten Hag will love having a player like Messi in his midfield with Bruno Fernandez and Christian Eriksen.

Manchester United are also one of the teams in the Premier League that are capable of paying Messi’s wages. In previous years, they have acquired players with fat wages and never gone broke on them.

Even with Champions League football lingering around for the Red Devils, they will be able to convince Messi to join the club.

Manchester City

The reigning champions of England may also be in the transfer battle to sign Lionel Messi just to reunite him with Pep Guardiola, who has hailed the Argentine as a complete player.

However, it may be difficult to sign the midfielder due to clauses in the financial fair play agreement.

Barcelona

The midfielder’s 21-year love story came to an end in 2021 after the club took out its best player due to financial crises at the club.

Barcelona President Joan Laporta has not ruled out the possibility of signing Lionel Messi, who will accept the club where he is loved the most. Messi family will also love to return to Spain.

Inter Miami

The American team are eager to welcome Messi to the MLS for next season. David Beckham, who is the owner of the club, has been tracking Messi’s contract issues at Paris Saint-Germain.

Beckham is eager to bring the player to America and also give him a stake in the club as an owner.

However, a move to Inter Miami may not be considered by Messi because he wants to stay in Europe.

Newcastle

The black-and-white Army are also interested in signing Messi. Since the Saudi Corsotium took over from Mike Ashley, Newcastle have been able to attract world-class players to the club.

Saudi Corsotium has made the club Champions League-bound and will love to invest next season.

Messi’s move to Newcastle may look odd, but a lot of Magpies fans will be happy to see him play in the Premier League for their club.

Al Nassr

If Messi joins Al Nassr in the Saudi Arabia Pro League, they are going to have two Ballon d’Or winners at the club.

In terms of wages, Al Nassr are capable of paying both Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.

However, if Messi joins Ronaldo at Al Nassr, the club should be worried about managing the egos of the two players.

Al-Hilal

Al-Hilal are in hot pursuit of Lionel Messi, and they have offered £400 million for the player. Al Nassr’s rivals are serious about signing the Argentine.

The 35-year-old midfielder may consider the mouthwatering offer from Al Hilal.
