Parma and Como have been promoted to Serie A from Serie B after they were confirmed champions and runner-ups, respectively.
Parma finished the season with 76 points after 38 matches, and Cesc Fabregas-led Como finished in second place with 73 points. There was a promotion play-off among Venezia, Cremonese, Catanzaro, Palermo, Sampdoria, and Brescia.
Palermo and Venezia will play the semi-finals first leg of the Serie B promotion play-off on May 20, 2024. The second leg will be played on May 24, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. Cremonese will play against US Catanzaro for the play-off semi-final first leg on May 21, 2024.
The second leg of the semi-final will be played on May 25, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. Any team that wins both legs of the semi-finals will play against themselves.

It has been confirmed that only Salernitana have been relegated to the Serie B. However, with two more matches to be played, Empoli and Sassuolo are still in contention to stay in Italian top division league ahead of next season only if they win their remaining games and the teams above them lose their remaining games. Salernitana are currently in last place on the Italian League table with 16 points from 36 matches.
