Jose Mourinho was fired in December 2018, and he was paid a whooping £15 million as a payout package.
Ole Gunner Solksjaer – £7.5 million
Then came, the baby-face assassin, Ole Gunner Solksjaer, who was initially appointed on an interim basis to replace the ousted Mourinho on December 19, 2018.
The 50-year-old had a magnificent stint as interim manager of Manchester United and that resulted in him being made the permanent manager of the club on March 28, 2019.
The Red Devils were seemingly experiencing a steady rise with his handling of the club, however, everything came crumbling in his third season at the club.
Solksjaer was dismissed on November 21, 2021, as Manchester United experienced a distasteful run of form.
