Porto striker Samu Omorodion has revealed that he was close to joining Chelsea Football Club, but God told him not to move to the West London team.
The Spanish U-21 superstar released a statement revealing how the move to Chelsea didn’t materialize, stating that it is God’s plan.
“I had a very difficult summer. We had a really bad time because, in the end, everyone knows that I was close to signing, but it’s true that if it didn’t happen, it was for a reason, because God didn’t want it.”
“I’m also very grateful to Porto for giving me the opportunity when things looked at their worst, and I’m very happy with where I am now. I’ve left the past behind, and now I’m focused on what’s coming to me.”
The 20-year-old talented striker had been a long-term target for the Chelsea side. There was an agreement in place for the striker to join the Chelsea team.
However, the deal fell off after Chelsea chose not to continue with the deal because of the player’s ankle injury.
Instead, Omorodion decided to secure a move to the Portuguese league giant FC Porto.
