Liverpool winger, Sadio Mane has a big announcement to make about his future after the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League final between his team and Real Madrid on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Sadio Mane has been playing for Liverpool since July 1, 2016, after he joined the club from Southampton for a transfer fee worth €41 million. His current contract with the Premier League club will expire on June 30, 2023.

Despite having just a season left on his contract, there has not been any concrete report that Liverpool are planning to extend the contract of the 30-year-old pacing Senegalese winger. One of the most reliable reports from Liverpool was that the club would look into Mane’s contract at the end of the season.

But from all indications, Sadio Mane who is reportedly earning as low as £100,000 per week at Liverpool sees the waiting game of the club as a slap on his reputation and is ready to exit the Premier League side. As for now, that is mere speculation since Mane is yet to confirm that himself.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding Mane’s future at Liverpool, German Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich are seriously doing all they can to bring the Senegalese captain to Germany.

The latest reports claimed that Sadio Mane is close to agreeing personal terms with Bayern Munich in a deal worth around $32 million. But when Mane was asked about his future ahead of the Champions League final, the Senegalese international said he would make a “special” announcement after the Champions League final.

The Senegalese star insisted that he wants to focus on the Champions League final, adding that he is trying his best to help Liverpool win the title for the second time in less than four years.

“I think the answer I can give you now is I feel very good,” said Mane when reporters asked him about his future at Liverpool.

“I am fully focused on Saturday’s game, that is the answer I must give before the final. But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It’s special. I will give you all you want to hear then.

“I love what I am doing and I sacrifice myself all the time. I am working hard every single day on the pitch and in the gym and I get better and better, that’s the most important. I am trying my best to help the team.”

Since Sadio Mane joined Liverpool in 2016, the Senegalese football star has scored 120 goals and provided 48 assists in 268 games in all competitions.

Mane has helped Liverpool to win one Premier League title, one UEFA Champions League, one FIFA Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one FA Cup, and one EFL Cup.

So far in the 2021-2022 season, the 30-year-old winger who is seen as a candidate for the 2022 Ballon d’Or has scored 23 goals and provided five assists in 50 games in all competitions.

On the Champions League final which will kick off in Paris at 20:00 on Saturday, Mane said: “I am fully focused on the Champions League and winning it, which is far more important for me and the Liverpool fans.

“I will do everything absolutely possible to win the game for Liverpool.

“I think we all forgot about what happened in 2018 (Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 to win the 2018 Champions League title). For sure Real Madrid were the better team then and deserved to win the game, but it is going to be a different game.”
