Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane arrived in England on a luxurious private jet with his brother Mou Commissaire Balmaceda who is always seen around him and serves almost like the footballer’s public relations officer.

The football star who won the best player in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations and also helped Senegal to win the trophy for the first time in the country’s history took to Instagram to announce his return to England on Thursday.

Recall that since the first week of January 2022, Sadio Mane has been with the Senegal national team for the just concluded AFCON 2021. He scored three goals and provided two assists in the tournament.

After the tournament, the 29-year-old Senegalese footballer returned with the rest of the Senegalese team in Dakar, Senegal capital city where the president of the country, Macky Sall hosted the players and honored them for winning the tournament.

After over a month away from Liverpool, Sadio Mane returned like a king and started training with the rest of the team on Friday, February 12, 2022.

From all indications, the 29-year-old Senegalese forward is expected to be available for the Liverpool Premier League game against Burnley on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Talking about the Instagram post Sadio Mane shared to announce his arrival in England, his brother, Mou Commissaire Balmaceda made a similar Instagram post.

On the Instagram post, Mane shared, the Senegalese footballer captioned it with: “Happy to be back”. While on the one his brother shared, Balmaceda wrote in French: “After winning the AFCON 2021 trophy 🏆, after making the African people proud, but especially the Senegalese people 🇸🇳🇸🇳, back to the club for the 2nd part of the season.”

After Sadio Mane helped Senegal to win the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021), a stadium in the country has been named after him.

The stadium which used to be called Sedhiou Stadium would now be known as Sadio Mane stadium. The stadium is located in the footballer’s hometown, the Sedhiou region of the country.

Abdoulaye Diop, the mayor of the region said the government decided to name the stadium after the Liverpool star because of the honor the footballer has brought to the town through his triumph in football.

The mayor said: “Sadio Mane has honored all of Senegal, the Sedhiou region, and the whole Casamance area.

“I’ve decided to name the Sedhiou Stadium after him.

“With this, I wish to convey to him the gratitude of all the sons and daughters of the region.

“He has made all mankind aware of Bambali and Sedhiou, the region’s main city.”

So far this season, Sadio Mane has scored 10 goals and provided an assist in 26 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool. He has scored 28 goals in 86 games for the Senegal national team since he made his debut on May 25, 2012.
