Ryan Giggs former Manchester United captain was sighted alongside his model girlfriend Zara Charles at Salford’s League Two match against Bradford.
Zara Charles, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, and Steve Bruce were present in the crowd with the 48-year-old Manchester United great player.
Giggs was spotted on Friday for the first time following the announcement that he would be put on trial again for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
He was spotted walking with Zara close to his Manchester house.
Giggs and Zara went to see Salford, a team owned by the Class of 92, play during the weekend.
Together with fellow Manchester United greats David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Gary, Phil, and Scholes, as well as investor Peter Lim, own the team.
Former winger Giggs sat next to Bruce, another Old Trafford legend who had some free time after being fired by West Brom earlier in the week.
In the executive box, Bruce’s son and former professional Alex sat two seats apart from Giggs, and Scholes and Keane were sighted in the row behind Giggs and Zara.
They saw Salford stumble to a 1-0 home loss to Bradford, Salford’s competition for promotion in League Two.
To be warm, Giggs and Zara bundled up in matching black jackets recently. It has been reported that they started their relationship at least a year ago.
Days prior, Giggs expressed his “disappointment” at having to stand trial again for allegedly headbutting his 38-year-old ex-girlfriend Kate Greville.
After the three-week assault trial in August, the jury was unable to reach a decision.
Giggs, the former leader of Wales, was charged with assaulting Kate, a PR executive, and using coercive and controlling tactics against her between December 2017 and November 2020.
The retrial for Giggs will start on July 31, 2023.
He also assaulted Kate’s sister Emma, 26, and will have to refute a charge of simple assault.
