Recall that the five times Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Manchester United to release him this summer if any good offer comes in for him. According to Ronaldo, he wants to play at the top stages and compete for trophies, and Manchester United are not giving him such an opportunity.
However, his close friend Edu Aguirre has followed the official Chelsea’s Instagram page and the Blues are pushing to secure Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature this summer. The new development is a hint that the Portugal hitman may be heading to Chelsea ahead of next season because Edu Aguirre is known for predicting CR7’s moves. In 2018, the El Chiringuito host was the first person to reveal that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid after spending nine years with the Spanish giants.

Now, some fans have discovered that Edu Aguirre has started following Chelsea on Instagram amid Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer rumors. One wrote on Instagram: “Thanks for confirming that CR7 is going to Chelsea with your follow.”
The new owner of Chelsea Todd Boehly is determined to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to the club this summer. The 37-year-old has not said that he wants to join Chelsea but his agent Jorge Mendes has already met with Todd Boehly to discuss Ronaldo’s future.
However, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reluctant to agree to the decision because he believes that Ronaldo will spoil his plans for next season.
The German manager is aware of how teams are built around Cristiano Ronaldo and he’s not ready to do that. Cristiano Ronaldo is still not available in the Man United squad as he is still with his family.
The 37-year-old missed traveling to Asia with the club for pre-season games because of family issues and hasn’t returned to Carrington for training.
However, Erik ten Hag and his boys appear to be doing well with their top player as they played their first pre-season game against Liverpool. Manchester United thrashed Liverpool 4-0 in Bangkok yesterday, with forgotten man Anthony Martial among the goal scorers.
As for Chelsea, they have already secured the signing of Manchester City player Raheem Sterling and hope to finalize Nathan Ake and Kalidou Koulibaly’s deals. The Blues seem to have found replacements for both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen after the two defenders left for free this summer.
