The uninspiring start to footballing life for Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia looks to have struck an hard titanic situation, and this can be attributed to the statement made by his Al Nassr teammate Luis Gustavo.

Luis Gustavo who is a former international of the Seleção Canarinha of Brazil, played with Ronaldo as the man who just turned 38 years of age scored his first goal for Al Nassr in a 2-2 well labored draw against Al Fateh. 

Although irrespective of his stance on Ronaldo being with the club as an issue for Al Nassr against other teams, Luis Gustavo made it known that the highest goal scorer in world football offers the team a massive leeway and advantage.

Precisely in June 2025, This deal did put Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest earning footballer in terms of wages due to him signing for Al Nassr.

Ronaldo who is greatly accomplished in football and has won five Balon D’or awards joined the Asian club after parting ways with Manchester United. 

Meanwhile, his current team manager Rudi Garcia has put a cloud of uncertainty on the future of the man as he has implied that Ronaldo would at some point go back to the European scene to end his glittering career. 

Rudi Garcia stated emphatically: “He will not finish his career at Al-Nassr, he will return to Europe”.
