Ronaldinho uploads favourite goal on PES 2021 after recently contracting COVID-19

    Almost 24 hours after announcing that he has teated positive to COVID-19, Brazilian legend, Ronaldinho has urged PES 2020 players to add him to their team as an iconic player.

    The former Barcelona playmaker, who won 97 caps for Brazil between 1999 and 2013, recently made his COVID-19 status known via a video posted to his Instagram story.

    Revealing his diagnosis, the 40-year-old, who also confirmed that he is now self-isolating in Belo Horizonte said he is asymptomatic having arrived in the city on Saturday.

    “I’ve been here in BH since yesterday, I came to participate in an event. I took the test and tested positive for Covid. I’m fine, asymptomatic, but we’ll have to leave the event for later. Soon we will be there together. Big hug!,” Ronaldinho said on Instagram on Sunday.

    Ronaldinho already had a turbulent year before COVID-19

    Leaving his turbulent year, behind him, the former AC Milan midfielder, wrote on his Instagram page where he also uploaded the video showing his move and the goal against Chelsea in a Champions League game.

    Ronaldinho’s turbulent period this year started when he and his brother Roberto Assis got jailed in Paraguay in March for entering the country with fake passports.

    After 32 days in prison, the pair were moved to house arrest in a Paraguayan hotel in April, with their sentences ending in August.

    Speaking over the development at that time, the World Cup winner described it a hard blow, adding that he never imagined that he would go through such a situation.

    “All my life I have sought to reach the highest professional level and bring joy to people with my football,” Ronaldinho said at the time.

    In the course of his 17 years playing career, Ronaldinho, who is also a Champions League winner became one of the most iconic figures in football for both club and country.

    The two-time Ballon d’Or was also named IFA World Player of the Year twice.
