Brazil youngster Rodrygo has penned down a new contract extension with Real Madrid until 2028.
As part of the new deal, Real Madrid have slammed a release clause of one billion euros on the head of the young forward to tie him down at Santiago Bernabeu.
Rodrygo’s contract extension came hours after Real Madrid also confirmed a new deal for another Brazilian youngster Vinicius Jr.
Vinicius Jr agreed to a new four-year contract extension with the Los Blancos in what was seen as a big boost to the team.
With over 60 goals in 235 appearances for the team, Vinicius Jr cemented his place in Real Madrid starting lineup and was eager to extend hi stay with the club despite what appeared to be a difficult stint in the Spanish elite division due to frequent racial attack.
Rodrygo is now the latest name to commit
The 22-year-old has made 179 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 39 goals since joining the club from Brazil side Santos in 2019.
He has won the Laliga, Copa Del Rey, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. Rodrygo will be hoping to continue in his prolific run for Los Blancos.
He has been tipped as one of the fast-rising youngsters with a veritable impact in the game. Rodrygo has a nack for scoring goals and is known for his creative abilities in the attack.
