Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has broken his silence on his Real Madrid future with PSG and French footballing sensation Mbappe set to join the club.
Kylian Mbappe took to social media to announce his decision to leave PSG at the end of the season. While Real Madrid have remained mute over the state of the transfer, sources close to the club reveal all is set for Mbappe to join the club.
Officially, Kylian Mbappe’s PSG contract will end on June 30, 2024, but it is understood PSG have stayed off the player’s exit lane long before the 2023-24 campaign ended.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Kylian Mbappe has signed PSG contract and will be announced next week after the two parties signed all papers of the deal.
This means Real Madrid will veer off courtesy to PSG as they prepare to announce Kylian Mbappe’s signing next week.
While the club eagerly awaits the arrival of Mbappe, they may likely grapple with restructuring their attacking lineup to feature Mbappe. Analysts say Rodrygo is likely to lose his role with Mbappe coming into the Los Blancos’ attacking lineup.
Amidst suggestions of his possible drop in the pecking in the wake of Mbappe’s imminent arrival, there have been reports linking the Brazil international to an exit from the club.
However, reacting to the rumors, the 23-year-old said he is happy at the club.
“This week some media said about bids, clubs, interest… I don’t know anything about it and I’m NOT interested,” Fabrizio Romano quotes.
“Even if there are proposals, I have no idea about that… I’m staying. I’m happy here. How can I leave Real Madrid?!”
Rodrygo recently penned down a new contract with Real Madrid till 2028 and is reportedly considered key to the club by manager Carlo Ancelotti.
