    Brazilian star and Tottenham ace, Richarlison celebrated his Champions League debut brace in tears with his father, Antônio Carlos Andrade. The former Everton and Watford star bagged a late brace to secure all three points for Tottenham in their Champions League opener against Olympique Marseille.

    Richarlison made headlines on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 as he pulled a dramatic late brace, 5 minutes apart, to help Tottenham to humble a hard-fighting Ligue 1 giants, Olympique Marseille.

    Antonio Conte faced a tough test against Marseille. The French side was not yielding as they gave the North London club a stiff opposition. Richarlison rose to the occasion with two good headers in the 75th and 80th minute that made the difference.

    But the French side was heavily impacted with a red card to Mbemba in the 47th minute, giving Spurs the numerical advantage. Nevertheless, they had to wait for a late-minute two headers from Richarlison for a winning start to their Champions League campaign.

    Richarlison de Andrade is a 25-year-old Brazil international who plays as a striker for Premier League club Tottenham. Richarlison started his football career in 2013, playing for Real Noroeste and America Mineiro in 2014.

    He joined the America Mineiro senior team in 2015, where he played for one year, making 24 appearances and scoring 9 goals.

    He later joined Fluminese in 2016 after just a year at America Mineiro. He made 54 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals. Richarlison had his first spell in English Premier League after joining Watford in 2018. He played for just one season for the club, making 38 appearances and scoring five goals. In 2018, he joined Everton and made 135 appearances for the club, scoring 43 goals.

    He has made 14 appearances for the Brazil U-20 and U-23, scoring seven goals. He has been capped 36 times by the Brazil senior national team and has scored 14 goals. He won the Copa America in 2019 with Brazil.
