Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has revealed he is totally focused on playing for the Bundesliga giant.
The defender has entered the final 12 months of his Bayern Munich career in the summer. The player’s contract is expected to end on June 30, 2025.
In the post-match interview after the game against Werder Bremen, the defender was asked questions in relation to his future at the club with news of a lack of progress in the negotiations with the Bayern Munich bosses.
“My focus right now is on winning every game. I’m not worrying about the other issue at the moment.”
There was a major doubt on his career, with speculations on whether he will be sold or his contract will be extended.
In the transfer window, he was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga. It was believed that the Los Blancos agreed a personal term with the defender.
However, there was no agreement between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
The La Liga reigning champions expect the defender to sign a deal with them as a free agent in July 2025.
He is currently enjoying significant playing time at Bayern Munich after making five appearances under Vincent Kompany in the 2024-25 season with three starts and two appearances from the bench.
