Real Madrid have suffered a major blow, as midfielder Jude Bellingham has sustained a plantar fasciitis injury in his right leg.

Los Blancos confirmed the injury to Bellingham via a statement shared on their website which read:

“Following tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantar thin muscle of his right leg. Pending evolution.”

Reports indicate that Real Madrid expect Jude Bellingham to be back after the international break in September 2024.

The England international has been an important player for Los Merengues, following his move to the club from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023.

Bellingham played an instrumental role in Real Madrid winning La Liga last term, alongside the UEFA Champions League.
