Real Madrid came back from a 4:3 loss to win Manchester City 6:5 on aggregate thanks to a quick fire from Rodrygo

Manchester City was looking to reach their second Champions League final, and it appeared to be a possibility until wonder youngster Rodrygo shattered that dream.

Both coaches made adjustments and additions to their starting lineups in order to win the match, but it still came down to who took advantage of their opportunities better.

Kyle Walker was included back at right-back for Manchester City, and Joao Cancelo who was out came back on the other wing after being suspended for the first match.

On the right side, Carlo Ancelotti chose to play Valverde above Rodrygo and Asensio, while Alaba is only fit enough to sit on the bench, while Nacho partnered with Militao.

Before Mahrez fouls him near the corner flag, Vinicius rushes down the left side, easily beating Walker. Rodri heads the ball clear into the box that follows.

Carvajal pulls out Benzema with a wonderful cross on the other end. Before a late offside flag appears, the striker heads it well over the bar.

Bernardo dashes towards the Real box, but the bobbling ball is handballed. Madrid receives a free-kick.

After Cancelo’s corner is diverted behind, City’s initial attack ends in a corner. Foden takes the corner and picks Dias out at the back post. However, his cross-goal corner is dealt with.

Mahrez takes a step towards the goal and passes the ball to De Bruyne. He hits Courtois with a solid strike, but it’s right at him.

Vinicius makes a real breakthrough on the edge of the box, but Cancelo intercepts the pass just in time. Vinicius appears to be in a good mood tonight.

Vinicius and Walker collide once more, with the right-back landing on his back. There wasn’t much to it; when they collided, both players were focused on the ball. Walker seemed to have rolled his ankle badly.

City makes two changes: Zinchenko replaces Walker, and Gundogan replaces De Bruyne.

Bernardo breaks into the Real box and makes a wonderful reverse pass to Mahrez, who curls the ball into the top corner with his left foot! What a first-time strike! The aggregate score is 4-3 in favor of City.

Madrid, here we come! Rodrygo scores after the ball are crossed in by Benzema, who hooks it back at goal.

Another cross enters the City box, which Laporte misses and Rodrygo heads home! He’s had two in under two minutes. Super Sub!

Dias trips Benzema before he can connect with a cross that has been cut back towards him. A penalty was imposed!

Everyone expected Benzema to execute a Panteka like the last time, but he instead chose to send Ederson in the wrong direction. The score was 3:1, and Madrid qualified for Champions League final 2021/2022 season.
