Real Madrid battled past struggling Alaves to extend their lead at the top of La Liga to seven points.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team failed to produce any clear-cut chances in the first half, but Marco Asensio’s looping goal broke the deadlock on 63 minutes.
Ancelotti’s side outplayed Sevilla in the second half and now lead the league by seven points with one game remaining.
For much of the game, the home fans were booing, then Vinicius Jr scored from close range after a nice team move.
Real’s third goal came from an injury-time penalty converted by striker Karim Benzema.
Alaves should have taken the lead, but Pere Pons shot wide after rounding Thibaut Courtois, leaving the goal empty.
Following a terrible first half, the home fans whistled loudly as the players exited the field at halftime.
When Asensio curled home a beautiful opening goal, the Spaniard put his finger to his lips, urging the fans to cheer rather than jeer the players.
