    Raul Jimenez has proven to be a class actor for Wolverhampton Wanderers since he arrived from Benfica. The Mexican has now continued from where his fellow countryman, Javier Hernandez AKA Chicharito stop in goal scoring record in the Premier League.

    Jimenez has now recorded his 14th goal of the season in the Premiership after helping his team to defeat West Ham 2-0 as action resumes after 100 days of coronavirus hiatus. The poacher who is now just a goal behind Liverpool’s Mo Salah has broker Chicharito’s record of goals in a single season in the league. The highest the former Manchester United striker has scored was 13 with Manchester United in the 2010-2011 campaign. He now occupies the sixth spot on the Premier League’s tops scorers.

    With eight matches left to complete the season, Jimenez still has the chance to increase his tally and set further records. He is expected to start in Wolverhampton’s next game scheduled for Wednesday against AFC Bournemouth that is currently facing relegation.

    Jimenez is having one of his best seasons so far. This is why tops clubs like Liverpool and Manchester have been on his trail. Liverpool had expressed interest in RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, who has agreed to join Chelsea in the summer.

    Speaking on the link with Bolavip and quoted by the Mirror, he said such stories are inspiring him to do more after scoring three goals in seven games in the Europa League as well.

    F.C. Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus are among other teams outside the Premier League reported being linked to Jimenez during the coronavirus break in Europe.

    “It is something very cool; I don’t know if they are true, they are rumors. Those are teams that in the history of football are important. It’s something good to continue growing, making an effort and taking it as an incentive so that, if possible, give even more to achieve it.”

    Apart from beating Chicharito’s record, Jimenez has now scored the most goals by a Wolves player in a Premier League season.

    Wolves is currently sixth on the log with 46 points, two places away from the final Champions League spot, occupied by Chelsea that will be playing Aston Villa today at Villa Park.
