Raheem Sterling has been in the news since the opening of the transfer window, as reports continue to link him with a move away from the Etihad.

According to reports making the rounds, the Manchester City starlet is in talks to sell his £4.5m mansion to Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Although there are no reports indicating that the Liverpool and England international is planning to leave the Reds this season, sources say he wants to relocate from Southern Manchester.

Both players are members of the England national team and are no strangers to each other, so there are huge possibilities that the deal will succeed.

The reports have further increased the speculations that Sterling will be departing Manchester City in the summer. It is largely believed that Sterling will be joining Chelsea, with the Blue’s boss, Thomas Tuchel, expressing interest in working with the English winger.

Many Chelsea supporters are beginning to feel increasingly worried at the Club’s inactivity in the transfer market, especially as it draws to a close.

So far in the transfer window, Chelsea have seen the departure of Antonio Rüdiger to Real Madrid on a free transfer. Also, priced striker Romelu Lukaku has sealed a loan move back to Inter Milan for £10 million.

Other players, including Ngolo Kante and César Azpilicueta, have been linked with moves out of the Standford Bridge before the end of the transfer window.

As the club plans for life after former owner Roman Abramovich, the fans are keen for some new big-name signings at the Club.

Football pundits believe that the acquisition of Raheem Sterling will be a good move for the London Club, which hopes to hit the ground running under new owners, The Boehly-Clearlake consortium.

So, it is understandable that fans of the former Champions League winners will embrace the news that Sterling is planning to sell his house.

If reports in the news are anything to go by, then the 27-year-old is in the final stage of selling his Cheshire home to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

There is no denying that Sterling has gradually fallen down the pecking order in Pep Guardiola’s team. Last season, he was not a regular starter for the team and sometimes could not find a place in the match-day squad.

Also, with the arrival of Erling Braut Haaland in Manchester, there are speculations on whether Sterling will have a place in the team. Guardiola is likely to favour Foden on the left of Haaland in the squad, leaving no position for Raheem Sterling to operate.

In another positive for the Blues, Sterling was born and raised in London, so a move to Chelsea takes him back home to where he was raised and have his family.
