Well, it seems Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount go a long way back after the American released an old photo of them which dates back to several years ago.

Pulisic was on trial at a host of European clubs while at a tender age and it seems Chelsea was of those clubs. He took to his Instagram page to release the photo with the caption: “I bet y’all ain’t know about this one.”

The picture was taken as the Blues’ Cobham training ground in 2010, when the pair were both 11.

The ex-Dortmund man also visited Manchester United as well as Barcelona. Having amassed that great deal of football education, it’s no surprise to see him performing at the level he is currently at.

He began his senior career at Borrusia Dortmund before moving to Chelsea in January 2019. He would go on to spend the rest of that season at the Signal Iduna Park before joining his new club at the beginning of this season.

Alongside Mason Mount, he has been crucial in Chelsea’s season which brought them a Champions League spot coupled with reaching the FA Cup final which they narrowly lost out to Arsenal.

A big testament to their excellent seasons is that the duo has been nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.

Now a Chelsea star himself, Pulisic said: “The craziest thing is I remember going to Chelsea.

I was very young, I was just going there to train with the youth Chelsea team and I remember being at the training ground, which I then a few weeks ago go back and see.

“I see the same thing and I’m like wow, it’s crazy how full circle it came

Going forward, both players are set to be major components in Frank Lampard’s rebuilding project as he aims to take the Blues back to the top which they were during his playing days.
