Paris Saint Germain center-back, Presnel Kimpembe, and his club’s teammate, Sergio Ramos attended the 2022 Men’s Paris Fashion Week.
This year’s edition of the Men’s Paris Fashion Week which came to an end on Monday, January 23, was said to be a commentary on “Understated Elegance”.
Presnel Kimpembe took his streetwear collection known as PK3 Paris (which he also calls La Force) to the fashion week. His streetwear collection is completely in line with the theme of this year’s edition of the men’s fashion week.
He decided to attend the event with Ramos who just joined him at PSG last summer from Real Madrid. Their being together was not expected since Ramos is seen as a player that came to compete with Kimpembe for his role at the club. But it seems they have developed a kind of friendship that has gone beyond the pitch.
From his days at Real Madrid, Ramos has been a player that loves fashion, hence, his association with Kimpembe was not a surprise because the 26-year-old Frenchman has been a fashion enthusiast from a very tender age.
His love for fashion inspired him to start his streetwear collection in June 2020. Aside from launching his fashion line, he has been seen a couple of times at events organized by Louis Vuitton.
After the Men’s Paris Fashion Week, Kimpembe and Ramos returned to training ahead of the French Ligue 1 game against Reims. The two defenders were named to the squad for the game.
However, Kimpembe remained on the bench for the entire game while Ramos started the game. In the 62nd minute of the French Ligue 1 game, the Spanish defender scored his first Ligue 1 game of his football career.
PSG won the league game 4-0 to remain the league leaders with 53 points in 22 games after 16 wins, 5 draws, and a defeat. They are currently 11 points above second-placed Nice.
Though Presnel Kimpembe could not play in the league match, he would spend the rest of the month a fulfilled man for playing an active part in the just concluded Men’s Paris Fashion Week.
During the fashion week, French fashion line, Louis Vuitton, unveiled its final Virgil Abloh collection in an archive honoring tribute show.
Aside from that, one of the highlights of the event is the debut of Kenzo. Musician Nigo, who founded the globally revered streetwear label A Bathing Ape in 1993, presented his very first collection for the label Kenzo during the event.
Some of the biggest fashion icons at the 2022 Men’s Paris Fashion Week were American celebrities Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, and Tyler, the Creator.
