Brentford permitted Ivan Toney to travel to Dubai for the 2022 winter holiday but the footballer decided to abuse the opportunity.
While the 25-year-old footballer was away in Dubai he decided to film himself posing beside a lady who is yet to be identified. The lady in the video is said to be Ivan Toney’s girlfriend but there is not much information about her yet.
In the video they made together, Ivan Toney could be heard shouting “f*** Brentford” while his so-called girlfriend repeated the unprofessional phrase.

Unfortunately for the 25-year-old English striker, the video found itself on social media on Friday, January 28. Since the video surfaced on the internet, the supporters of Brentford have been very angry with the footballer.
They have been trolling Ivan Toney and urging the club to sell him in the January transfer window which forced the English striker to take to his verified Twitter page to tender his apology.
In his statement, Ivan Toney stressed that he has told the club’s manager the story behind the video, adding that the video was cut and edited.
While admitting that he was sorry for putting himself in such a position, he stressed that he didn’t mean it the way the video was perceived.
Toney wrote: “I am aware of a video of me that was published on social media today, taken in Dubai where I have been on holiday during the winter break. In it, I used unacceptable language.
“The video was cut short and edited, but I have to accept the impact this has had and I realize I should not have put myself in this position.
“I have explained to the gaffer what happened and apologized to him but I also want to apologize to all Brentford fans. I respect the way you all support the team and I have to say how much I love playing for the club and you.
“I’ll be back at training next week, working hard to score more goals to win us more games for the rest of the season.”

Ivan Toney had been playing for Brentford since September 1, 2020. He joined the club from the Championship side, Peterborough for a transfer fee worth €5.60 million.
Since then, the 25-year-old English striker has scored 40 goals and provided 13 assists in 76 games in all competitions.
In the 2021-2022 season, Ivan Toney has scored 7 goals and provided three assists in 24 games in all competitions. His effort has helped Brentford to remain on the 14th spot on the Premier League table with 23 points in 23 games.
