This season in the Premier League, there have been a record set for the number of managers that have been sacked and there’s still several games to be played meaning that number could still grow.
What is the Premier League record for managers sacked in a season?
The current record for the most Premier League managers changes in a single season is at 13 after Graham Potter was dismissed by Chelsea.
The 2022/23 season broke the previous record of 10 manager sacked in a single season which first happened in 2013/14 and repeated in 2017/18 and 2021/22.
The new record was set on the 2nd day of April 2023 after Leicester City and Chelsea sacked Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter respectively on the same day.
Both Rodgers and Potter lost their final games in charge of their respective clubs before they were axed.
Potter’s departure from Brighton this season isn’t counted as a sacking as he left of his own accord to take charge of the Blues. But including his departure from Brighton this season, there has been 13 manager changes in the Premier League in the 2022-2023 season and a record 12 sacked coaches so far this season.

Scott Parker was the first to be sacked when Bournemouth made an early change, with Chelsea adding Tuchel to the list just seven days later.
