Erling Haaland of Manchester City won the August Player of the Month award after a strong start to the season. This is not surprising considering that he leads the league in goals scored with 11 so far this year.

Due to the international schedule cutting September’s club games fixtures short, the Premier League has now released its nominees for the second Player of the Month award of 2022.

Marcus Rashford of Manchester United has been nominated for the award after scoring twice in a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford. The England international has improved this season under Erik ten Hag.

Kevin De Bruyne, a midfielder for Manchester City, has also received a nomination. In his last two games, De Bruyne has recorded three assists.

The remaining nominees are Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Phillip Billing, Jacob Ramsey, and Alex Iwobi.
