Premier League League Relegation is on at the moment with Premier League clubs at the red zone doing all their best to ensure they stay in the EPL next season.

Premier League League Relegation Battle; How It Looks And Who Is Likely Going Down

Burnley and Watford drew 0-0 at Turf Moor on Saturday evening in the Premier League survival struggle – but which team is best positioned to avoid relegation?

The five teams at the bottom of the table are separated by only six points, and Burnley have at least one game in hand on their opponents.

Everton, who have a new manager in Frank Lampard, have been drawn into a relegation battle as a result of a turnaround in results for Norwich, who have won two in a row, and Newcastle.

Burnley and Watford, who have a new manager in Roy Hodgson, missed out on the chance to close the gap on Everton and the teams above them on Saturday night, as they shared the points.

Newcastle, meanwhile, appears to be making progress under Eddie Howe after beating Leeds at Elland Road in their previous Premier League game on January 22, and they have the opportunity to drag Everton even deeper into the quagmire next Tuesday when Lampard leads his team to St James’ Park.

Which Team Is Likely To Be Relegated From EPL?

Norwich City are the shortest priced team to be relegated from the Premier League, with bet365 providing them at 1/16 odds.

Dean Smith’s team has struggled for goals all season, and avoiding relegation will require a massive effort from the Canaries. Of all, the team has become accustomed to being demoted, having been relegated in 2009, 2014, 2016, and 2020, so it’s understandable that they are heavy favorites to be relegated again.

Newcastle United had been odds-on to return to the Championship, but they are now 11/10 to accomplish so. It’s unclear how the club’s newfound wealth will influence their transfer strategy, but Eddie Howe’s side has been allowing goals at an alarming rate.

The fans’ elation over the departure of owner Mike Ashley has given way to the realization that the current squad may not be strong enough to survive, and manager Howe is well aware that he faces a difficult task ahead of him.

Watford are 8/15 to return to the Championship, and the Hornets have had a rough start to life in the Premier League. Claudio Ranieri’s arrival as head coach in early October did not have the anticipated effect, and they would be fighting for survival until the last days of the season.

Burnley and Leeds United are two other teams that are firmly in the relegation mix. Sean Dyche’s Burnley team are known for their tenacity and will not give up their Premier League status easily, with the Clarets presently set at 4/6 to be relegated.

Meanwhile, Leeds have been leaking goals all over the place, and Marcelo Bielsa faces a major task in trying to turn things around, with the club 4/1 to be relegated.

These are possible teams that are likely to face Relegation from the English Premier League in the 2021-2022 season as calculated in accordance to team position on the log table and matches as hand.
