England lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final, the whole country wasn’t happy with the result but Adele came out to show support by wearing an England football jersey. She also sent a comforting message along with it.
Adele is a popular English songwriter and performer, she’s won many awards and is well respected around the world, especially in England.
It was a troubling week for England footballers after they failed to beat Italy at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Fans were angry and behaved unruly by sending racial slurs to England black players. Adele showed her support, she wrote “You did us so proud! You brought our game home and brought us all together”.
The singer is a devoted football fan, she wanted football to come back home to England, however, that didn’t happen. Adele has been following EURO 2020 competition since the beginning of the tournament, she is very vocal with her support for the England team and she stood by them when things didn’t go as planned.
