Emiliano Krosi, a 23-year-old resident of Southend-on-Sea, has been charged with 33 counts of conspiracy in committing burglary.

During Sterling’s absence while with Gareth Southgate’s England squad in Qatar, his home was targeted by armed robbers who stole approximately £300,000 worth of watches and jewelry.

Due to the robbery, the Chelsea winger had to fly back home to be with his family, causing him to miss England’s 3-0 victory over Senegal in the last-16 match.

The report in details

Sterling, who is considered one of Gareth Southgate’s most reliable players in major tournaments, was unable to participate in Qatar World Cup last-16 due to his decision to fly home following a burglary incident.

Sterling had to hastily return home from the World Cup tournament following a raid on his property in Oxshott, Surrey, which occurred in December 2022.

However, Sterling made his return to the Three Lions squad during the quarter-final match against France. He came off the bench, but unfortunately, England lost 2-1 to the eventual finalists.

In April, Sterling gave an interview where he candidly discussed the mental anguish he experienced due to the break-in. He revealed that he constantly blamed himself and was deeply affected by the incident.

His teammates were not informed about his omission and the shocking circumstances that led to it until the team’s meeting before they departed for the Al Bayt Stadium.

According to reports, jewelry and watches valued at £300,000 were stolen from his house.

Police were reportedly present at the scene, and security personnel diligently patrolled the luxurious estate throughout the night following the incident.

According to a spokesperson for the police force, 23-year-old Emiliano Krosi, a resident of Ditton Court Road in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, has been charged with 33 counts and is currently being remanded in custody.

Krosi’s arraignment occurred after the police announced early in August that they had thoroughly investigated all possible leads regarding the incident at Sterling’s home.

They mentioned that the case would be kept on file, in case any new information emerged in the future.

Krosi is now scheduled to make an appearance at Guildford Crown Court on September 21, 2023.

Latest on Raheem Sterling

The Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has made an impressive start to the new Premier League season under the guidance of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Last season, Sterling faced difficulties after he arrived from Manchester City in a reported £50m deal.

At the end of the season, he finished the campaign with only six goals in the league, which marked his lowest total in the past seven years.

However, in this current season, Sterling has already displayed notable signs of improvement.

In the 3-1 loss against West Ham, the 28-year-old received praise for his efforts despite the Blues’ defeat to the Hammers.

Most notably, he delivered an outstanding performance in the recent home win against Luton Town on the 25th of August.

Sterling scored two goals, contributing significantly to the Blues’ first competitive victory under Pochettino.

It is evident that there has been a significant change in the performance of the 28-year-old recently, and it is highly apparent that he will continue in this impressive form.

What’s next for Sterling and Chelsea?

Sterling’s next appearance will be in the Premier League match between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, September 2nd.
