    Poland vs Saudi Arabia: Robert Lewandowski was in an emotional state after scoring his first World Cup goal after playing in five different World Cup editions.

    Lewandowski’s goal came in the 82nd minute after a horrible mistake from the Saudi Arabia midfielder, who failed to control the simple pass given to him.

    The Polish team failed to live up to expectations and were lucky that the Saudi Arabian team was wasteful in the final third of the match.

    The first 30th minute of the match was a total dominance from the Saudi Arabian side who kept distribution of the ball perfectly and were creating chances.

    The Domination was so perfect that two Polish players (Matty Cash and Millik) received a yellow card each during that period.

    The breakthrough came from Poland. Lewandowski received the ball from Matty Cash, who skillfully clipped it over the advancing goalkeeper. 

    He then brought it back for Zielinski from the byline, who scored in the 39th minute of the match.

    The Polish striker had the advantage after their opening shot on goal!

    In the 43rd minute, VAR called the referee to check the monitor to decide on whether to give Saudi Arabia penalty and the referee favored the team.

    Al-Dawsari step forward to take the penalty. The penalty went low to his right and Szczesny made a save and also saved the rebound from Al-Burayk.

    Szczesny is Poland’s hero and was later announced as man of the match against Saudi Arabia, the goalkeeper again denied Al-Dawsari in the close range in the 55th minute of the match.

    In the 60th minute, Al-Buraikan is slid in by Al-Dawsari on the left, but he missed the target with his shot from within the box.

    In the 63rd minute, Lewandowski created a chance for Milik, whose header hit the goal post, and the goalkeeper had no chance of making a save during that period.

    Another substitution was made by Saudi Arabian manager Hervé Renard Al-Ghannam, who replaced Al-Burayk in the 66th minute.

    Saudi Arabia got another chance after Al-Dawsari hit the ball from distance, and it went straight at Szczesny as the goalkeeper calmly claimed it in the 69th minute.

    Milik came off for Poland and replaced by Piatek in the 71st minute.

    Lewandowski made a quick burst for Poland, but there was a bit too much on the pass, allowing Al-Owais to leave his line and clear the ball for Saudi Arabia in the 74th minute.

    The Saudi Arabian side kept knocking on Poland’s door. The ball fell on the Albirakan side, who hit the ball intelligently in the 77th minute, and the ball beat Juventus goalkeeper Szczesny, but it went wide.

    Lewandowski scored in the 82nd minute after a mistake from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Malki. The midfielder was caught in possession as the Barcelona player took the chance to score his first goal.

    Al-Shehri and Almalki were replaced by Alobud and Al-Dawsari in the second half after the Saudi Arabia team failed to capitalize on their chances.

    A late change was made for Saudi Arabia in the 95th minute. Abdulrahim was replaced by Bahebri which was there final substitution in the game.

    In the 96th minute, the Saudi Arabian side, which deserved to get a point against Poland, saw yet another chance, but today was not their day.

    Szczesny drove swiftly toward his goal after Kanno made a good effort and connected. The ball, however, only landed wide off the far post.
