There have been several hattrick goals scored by Premier League players. The fastest three hattricks in Premier League history, however, were scored by the players discussed below.
The majority of these distinctive players received the Golden Boot for their outstanding efforts.
1. Erling Haaland (8 appearances)
The big striker was signed by Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund for a small fee of €60 million. He ignored Manchester United to join the other side of Manchester and has been performing since he joined.
Haaland scored his first hattrick against Crystal Palace after Manchester City were behind in the first half.
His second hattrick came against Nottingham Forest, the match ended 6-0 in favour of Manchester City. His third hattrick came in a Manchester Derby on October 2, 2022.
All these hattricks came just after eight appearances, the striker has been tipped to finish as the highest goal scorer at the end of Premier League campaign in May.
2. Michael Owen (48 appearances)
The former Liverpool striker, Owen, is the second on the list. He is the youngest striker to score hattrick in the Premier League. In 2001, the striker won the Ballon d’Or award and he was rated as One of Liverpool greatest players.
Owen scored his first hattrick in 1998 against Sheffield Wednesday in a 3-3 draw. The second hattrick came against Newcastle in a 4-1 Liverpool win away from home.
Owen made it the third hattrick against Nottingham Forest on October 24, 1998.
3. Ruud Van Nistelrooy (59 appearances)
The Dutchman was regarded as one of the greatest strikers to ever play in the Premier League for Manchester United.
He scored his first hattrick for Manchester United in 2001 against Southampton, when the Red Devils won by six goals to one. That year, he was named Premier League Footballer of the Year.
In the 2003/24 season, he scored the remaining hattrick and went on to win the Premier League golden boot with 25 goals in 34 matches.
4. Fernando Torres (64 appearances)
He was nicknamed El-Nino by the fans because of his consistency and his ability to score goals. In his career as a Liverpool player, he scored three hattricks.
The striker scored his first hattrick against Middlebrough in the 2008/09 season. In the same season, Torres scored his second hattrick against West Ham in the Premier League.
During the 2009-10 season, when Liverpool defeated Hull City by six goals to one, the Spanish striker scored his third hattrick.
He is the fastest Liverpool player to score 50 goals in the Premier League.
5. Andy Cole (65 appearances)
The former Manchester United and Newcastle striker Andy Cole scored his first hat trick for Newcastle against Liverpool in the 1993/94 season, when he helped the team win by three goals to nil.
His second hat trick for Newcastle came against Coventry City, where the Magpies won by four goals to nil.
The third one came when he joined Manchester United in the 1994/95 season against Ipswich, which ended in a 9-0 in favour of Manchester United
He scored five hattricks for Manchester United and won five Premier League titles with the club.
6. Luis Suarez (71 appearances)
The former Liverpool striker is ranked fifth, he scored three hat tricks in 71 appearances for Liverpool with most of them coming in 2013/14 season. He almost won the league with Liverpool but a crazy come back from Crystal Palace stop him from achieving his dream.
