Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has finally extended his contract with Arsenal football club after a series of back and forth between himself and the club. He signed a three-year deal which reportedly worth £250,000-per-week.

Earlier in the year, the 31-year-old Gabon international made his demands known to the club that he wanted a three-year contract with Arsenal worth £250,000-per-week. Still, the club failed to put the deal on the table as earlier as the fans of the club expected.

Amid this, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who had just a season left on his contract then was linked with a move to a numerous European club which scared Arsenal’s fans because he has been the club’s best player since he joined them in 2018 from Borussia Dortmund.

Even the football federation in Gabon was mounting pressure on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave Arsenal citing that the club was not ambitious enough for him and that he might end-up not winning club titles if he continues to remain at the Premier League club.

When all those drawbacks were being raised against Arsenal in an attempt to sway Aubameyang to leave the club, the 31-year-old striker pushed the club to win the FA Cup for the first time in three years, beating Manchester City in the semi-finals of the competition and Chelsea in the finals of the competition.

To crown it all up, the club commenced the 2020-2021 season by beating the reigning champions of the Premier League, Liverpool via penalty shootouts, to win the Community Shield.

To show how worthy the striker has been, the Gabon striker has scored a whopping 72 goals in 111 appearances for Arsenal making him the first player in the history of the club to score such an amount of goals in such a little amount of matches.

He is expected to lead Mike Arteta’s Arsenal in the 2020-2021 Premier League season which has commenced since September 12.

The club finished last season in the 8th spot but qualified for the Europa League due to their victory in the FA Cup. They want to dare to do better this season.
