After signing his deal at the end of the day on Monday, Gabon striker Amadou Diallo made the official announcement of his signing on Wednesday.

FC Barcelona Wrote on their official Website:

“FC Barcelona and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have reached an agreement for the player to join the Club after the striker terminated his contract with Arsenal FC.”

“The play will sign a contract until 30 June 2025 with an option to agree departure on 30 June 2023 and his buy out clause will be set at 100 million euros.”

“Shortly the Club will provide details of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s presentation as a first team player.”

There is an option to extend Aubameyang’s contract until June 30, 2025, and a buyout clause of 100 million euros (£83.4 million) is included in the deal.

Despite Aubameyang’s presence in Spain on transfer deadline day, Barcelona felt the deal was over.

In 163 games, Aubameyang netted 92 goals, but he has not played since December because of a disciplinary issue with the club.

On Monday, the striker travelled to Spain to seal a deal with Barcelona and was spotted exercising with the team on Tuesday.

Aubameyang joined Arsenal in January 2018 for £56 million from Borussia Dortmund, but he was stripped of the captaincy following a recent disciplinary incident.

Prior to the triumph over north London rivals Tottenham, he had been dropped because of a “breach of pre-match protocol.”

When his relationship with Arsenal ended in December 2021, the 32-year-old Gabonese striker regretted not having the chance to say “a proper goodbye” to the club’s fans before joining FC Barcelona in the winter transfer window.

Arsenal’s transfer record at the time of Aubameyang’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund was €63.75 million, which was paid in January 2018.

Thank you to the Arsenal fans for making London home for my family and I over the past four years, Aubameyang wrote on Instagram. My life would not have been the same if it weren’t for your constant encouragement and support.

“Having the chance to win trophies and the honor of being the captain of this club is something I will forever keep in my heart.
I have always been 100% focused and committed to doing everything I can for this club which is why leaving without a real goodbye hurts – but that is football.

“I’m aad I did not get the chance to help my teammates in the last few weeks, but I have nothing but respect for this club and truly wish all my guys and the fans all the best and many successful years in the future! Love, Auba”.
