Phil Foden has extended his contract with Manchester City through 2027, and the team is optimistic that he will develop into one of the best players in the game.
Pep Guardiola has started the City academy product in all nine Premier League games this season. The England international has scored in each of his past three outings, including a hat-trick against Manchester United.
At age nine, Foden started in Man City’s youth program and has won the PFA Young Player of the Year award the last two years.

According to reports, Foden’s weekly salary will increase from £40,000 to £225,000, making the new contract worth a total of over £55 million.
The 22-year-old academy graduate, who has been with City since he was nine, had a contract that was extended by five and a half years in December 2018 and was valid until 2024. The extension of the contract in 2022 will keep him at Manchester City untill 2027.
Since making his first-team debut in November 2017, Foden has made 182 senior appearances and counting for City.
He has scored 52 goals, established himself as a key player under Pep Guardiola, and won numerous prestigious awards along the way, including four Premier League titles, the FA Cup, four League Cups, two Community Shields, and a trip to the Champions League final.
