Manchester City winger Phil Foden has returned to Three Lions training ahead of the Round of 16 match against the Slovakia national team after the birth of his third child.
He returned to the camp as expected for a closed doors training session on Friday, June 28, 2024.
He travelled to be with his pregnant girlfriend, Rebecca Cooke, for the birth of the third child. However, there is no confirmation from the lovers on whether Cooke has given birth yet. But according to the English FA, Rebecca Cooke had given birth to a baby boy.
The England manager, Gareth Southgate, started the Manchester City star in matches against Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia as they finished as group C leaders.
The England national team won just one match against the Serbia national team in the group stage. However, they finished on top of Group C with two goals in the three matches played.
Phil Foden will be in contention to play against Slovakia on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in the Round of 16 at 5:00 p.m. If the Three Lions triumph over the Slovakia national team, they will face either Switzerland or Italy.
