Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has overtaken Premier League and Manchester United legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson on the leaderboard of managers with most Champions League wins.

Prior to the game, Guardiola and Alex Ferguson were tied on 102 Champions League wins. Now, the two-time treble winner with Barcelona and Manchester City is now a Champions League win ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Pep Guardiola now has 103 Champions League wins and is second on the chart behind Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, who took his tally to 109 after Real Madrid rattled Serie A champions Napoli in Italy.

The other two managers in top five managers on the chart are Arsenal legendary manager, Arsene Wenger, and Portuguese veteran, Jose Mourinho. Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have 82 and 77 Champions League wins, respectively.

With Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger out of the picture, Pep Guardiola is expected to subsequently rise up to the chart as he still has years ahead of him while Carlo Ancelotti is linked to an imminent switch from club to international football.
