After selling Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling to Arsenal and Chelsea, respectively, the Cityzens are looking to add reinforcement to their attack, even after signing £51 million Erling Haaland from Borrusia Dortmund and Julian Alvarez from River Plate.

Pep Guardiola revealed upon rumours of the transfer of Neymar to the Manchester club that the information is not right.

The Spanish tactician was quoted as saying: “I’m sorry but it’s not true. Their information is not right, Neymar is an incredible player and the info I have he’s an incredibly nice guy. But it’s not right.

“Every summer City are going to buy 150 players!”.

Neymar arrived at the Camp Nou after Guardiola’s departure, and it was understood since 2013 that the player wants to play for Pep.

While Neymar was speaking to Kevin Fylan of Redbull.com, the 23-year-old expressed his admiration for Guardiola when he was asked which coach he’d like to play for.

“Yes there is one: Guardiola is a guy that I really admire and who I would love to work with”, the Brazilian skillful forward said.

The 30-year-old Brazillian will run out of contract in 2025 with the French giants and it has been reported from multiple sources that PSG will sell the forward if the right amount is met. Other sources claimed that a swap deal that would see Bernado Silva join PSG while Neymar moved to City was what was in place.

So far, the 2011 Puskas award winner has scored 69 goals in 92 league matches for PSG.

Neymar to Chelsea was also another trending topic on Twitter some few weeks ago but to this moment no formal approach has been made by either club for the sale of Neymar.

PSG start their preseason friendlies with Japanese side Kawasaki and new coach Christophe Galtier will look forward to a first win in his first start for the club.

On the other hand, Pep Guardiola is currently happy with his squad as they started their preseason training and will look to start the 2022/2023 season with a win against Jurgen Klopp Liverpool’s side as they jostle for the FA Community shield on the 30th of July, 2022.

Riyad Mahrez and Rodrigo recently signed a two-year and three-year contract extension with the club respectively which means that Guardiola will have most of his trusted hands with him in the coming 2022-2023 season.
