Pele will spend Christmas in the hospital for regular treatment due to the advancement of his cancer. The Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, claimed the Brazil legend is under proper care as he battles kidney and cardiac dysfunction.
Pele is also undergoing chemotherapy for the cancer since he had his colon tumor removed in September 2021. It has not been made public yet how much the disease has spread in his body.
The family had decided to stay in the hospital with him to provide any necessary help the 82-year-old may need.
Earlier, reports claimed that the chemotherapy the doctor is executing on Pele was not working and had been transferred to palliative care. However, his family denied the report.
