Recently, the Real Madrid player has drawn attention to himself for his dance celebrations. Vinicius’ critics have been bashing him over his dance celebrations.

Most fans of the Brazilian don’t understand the torrent of condemnation directed at the Real Madrid player, over his on-field antics.

    What did Pele Say?

“Football is joy. It is a dance. It is a real party. Even if racism still exists, we will not let it stop us from smiling,” Pele wrote on Twitter.

“And we will continue to fight racism in this way: fighting for our right to be happy.”

    What did Vinicius Junior Do?

Vinicius gained attention during the match against Mallorca last weekend. The Brazilian complained after taking several rough hits.

Mallorca’s coach Javier Aguirre appeared to have instructed his players to kick the Brazilian skillful winger during the La Liga game, according to footage from El Dia Despues.

Vinicius scored a goal against Mallorca and did a little dancing to celebrate. This was another gesture that caused controversy because the Mallorca players didn’t like the celebration.

Days later, remarks made by Atletico Madrid captain Koke in response to a question regarding whether or not Vinicius’s fans at the Metropolitano would understand if he danced after scoring sparked new discussion ahead of Sunday’s Madrid derby.

“There would be trouble for sure, the most normal thing,” Koke said.

Raphinha of Barcelona joined Pele and Neymar in endorsing the Madrid player.

He posted on social media, saying, “I want to see dancing, I want to see joy.”

Thiago Silva, another representative of Brazil, also posted a statement on his social media platforms: “it Dances always brother. You do not allow that anybody remove you your happiness”.

Most recently, his teammate Eder Militao showed his support for the “20” Madridista. The central defender tweeted “accounts with me” from his account.

“To celebrate goals is your right. And any racist comment goes you to remove this. In the football and further, always with the maximum respect by each one of us”, Militao added.

Vinicius’ teammate in the Brazil national team, Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle United, has requested that Bravo be detained by law enforcement.

Vinicius’ coach at Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has defended him, saying that Vinicius doesn’t need to alter his demeanor because he is modest when it counts.

Prior to his team’s Saturday LaLiga match against Elche, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez was also questioned about his thoughts on the player’s celebration.

The former Spain midfielder said at his pre-match press conference: “Everyone celebrates goals the way they want. Let everyone do what they want as long as it’s not disrespectful.”
