Arsenal’s attempt at signing Pedro Neto may likely collapse after a popular pundit confirms disparities between Arsenal and Wolves. The Athletic football correspondent David Ornstein revealed that the Gunners planned move for the 22-year-old Portugal winger might likely grind to a halt after both parties appear not to be on the same page on the deal.

Arsenal Planned Move For Pedro Neto Likely To Suffer Setback

Pedro Neto has reportedly been on the radar of Mikel Arteta due to his style of play which resonates more with the Gunners’ pattern. Arteta has been reportedly monitoring the youngster and is eager to add him as the next signing to the Gunners squad. However, there is a problem, as confirmed by a transfer expert, David Ornstein.

Arsenal have signed stars who are already delivering results for the London club. The likes of Maquinhos from PSG, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City, and Fabio Vieira from Benfica have added depth and quality to the Gunners’ lineup.

Despite the depth in the Arsenal squad, Arteta is still hoping to land a deal for Neto, but Wolves may lowly find it difficult to part with one of their star players. Also, Arteta may likely back off the deal if Wolves set a huge price tag for the player.

Another twist to Arsenal’s plot to sign Neto is the possibility of a loan switch by Nicolas Pepe to OGC Nice of France. Mikel Arteta may likely need to replace the midfielder as talks for a loan move reach advanced stages.

    Wolves Sets Price Tag

Sources close to the North London club have confirmed that Arsenal are planning a £35m bid for Pedro Neto, while Wolves are holding out for £50m. Wenger is a good fan and admirer of Neto, but it’s under whether they will meet the £50m price tag demanded by Wolves or not.
