Barcelona Manager Xavi told reporters when discussing about his player Pedri: “He is a player who is on another level, I have seen very few like him.”

“He is talented, he is at the level of Iniesta, but Andres had a continuity to the point that he is still playing.”

“If we compare Pedri to Iniesta at the moment Iniesta wins easily because he played for so long. For me he is the greatest talent Spanish football ever produced. But Pedri is very good, he has a similar talent.”

Barcelona have been guilty of wasting their money over the years as they have been trying to secure quality players outside the club’s prestigious football academy.

However, with their recruitment process now focused on youngsters, they seem to be on their way back to the top.

Aside Pedri, Gavi is also one of the most exciting players in Spanish football and the pair handles the midfield of the League leaders.
