Paul Pogba is not sure of his future at Manchester United despite the fact that his current contract with the club will expire in June 2021. The 27-year-old French central midfielder said that Manchester United was yet to make an offer to him.

The France international first became a Manchester United player when he left a French club Le Havre to join the Premier League side as a teenager and on a free transfer. He gained promotion to Manchester United‘s senior team in 2012 but was not able to establish himself at the club.

Hence, in August 2012, Paul Pogba left Manchester United to join Italian Serie A giants, Juventus on a free transfer. While at the club, he was able to play at his very best to the instead that between 2012 and 2016, he scored 34 goals and provided 40 assists in 178 appearances for Juventus.

This performance tempted Manchester United to make all effort to ensure that they returned the France international back to Manchester. Subsequently, the English club was able to sign Pogba again but this time around, United spent a whopping €105 million to acquire his services in 2016.

When he returned to Manchester United, he played 51 matches in his first full season at the club (2016-2017 season) and managed to score 9 goals and provided 6 assists. In the 2017-2018 season, his game time dropped to 37 appearances throughout the season but he was able to score 6 goals and provided 12 assists.

In the 2018-2019 season, Paul Pogba picked up himself gloriously on a personal note as he netted 16 goals and provided 11 assists in 47 appearances for United. But in the 2019-2020 season, the Frenchman struggled with constant injuries and speculations linking him to a move out of the club.

With all these off the field controversies, Paul Pogba managed to play only 22 matches in all competitions throughout that season. At the end of the season, he managed to score just a goal and provided four assists.

Hence, his form in recent times made it difficult for Manchester United to make a decision concerning Pogba’s contract which has less than a season to expire.

“No-one has told me anything,” Paul Pogba said at a press conference with the France national team on Thursday. “I have not spoken to [United executive vice-chairman] Ed Woodward. We haven’t spoken about a new deal.

“At the moment, I am in Manchester and I am concentrating on getting back to my best form.

“I think there will be a moment when the club will come and talk to me and maybe offer me something, or not.”
