Didier Deschamps, the head coach of France, is optimistic that midfielder Paul Pogba will be ready for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Pogba, who returned to Juventus from Manchester United this summer on a free transfer, had a meniscus injury to his right knee during preseason.

The 29-year-old chose conservative treatment over surgery, which would have prevented him from competing in the World Cup.

N’Golo Kante, a midfielder for Chelsea who is currently injury-free, had to withdraw from the France team in June due to an injury in a UEFA Nations League match.

Kante, a former star for Manchester United who is prone to injuries, will likely play in the 2017 FIFA World Cup, according to Deschamps, who expressed his confidence in this in an interview with Le Parisen.

Deschamps stated of Pogba, “His participation in the World Cup is not up for dispute.

    “We’re talking about important players.

“They’re key, they have a lot of experience, they’re leaders.

“They need to be there, but we can never be sure. That is why we need to make sure our young players are ready.

“Of course, I’m in contact with Paul, and at the moment his involvement at the World Cup is not in doubt.”

In 91 games for the French national team, Pogba has 11 goals. In 53 appearances for the French national team, Kante has two goals.

In 1998 and 2018, France won the FIFA World Cup, and Paul Pogba and Ngolo Kante both contributed to that success in 2018.

Pogba is more adaptable and frequently plays many positions. He establishes the game and is attack-oriented. He can also play a box-to-box role as a deep-lying playmaker. He used to play the left flank for United.

Kante is renowned for his vigor and knack for winning the ball. He plays a crucial box-to-box role as the engine. He is a monster in defense.

On the other hand, Kante contributed to Leicester’s 2015–16 Premier League championship. He won the PL in 2016–17 with Chelsea. In addition, he has won the Europa League, Champions League, FA Cup, and UEFA Super Cup. He has also finished second in the FA Cup three times.

With Juventus, Pogba won eight titles, including four Serie A awards. He captured the EFL Cup and Europa League with United.

Deschamps knows that Pogba and Kante together will make opponents’ midfield useless, and the World Cup-winning coach is hoping to have both players in top form before the November FIFA World Cup.
