Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint-Germain are expecting Chelsea to put forward an offer to sign French winger Kylian Mbappe before the end of the transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly about Mbappe’s potential move to Chelsea.
Other reports stated that Chelsea may consider a player-plus-cash deal for Kylian Mbappe. Hakim Ziyech, who nearly moved to Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window, may be considered in an offer to get Kylian Mbappe.
Despite already winning multiple trophies and earning legendary recognition among the fans since joining from Monaco, Mbappe’s time at the club is already up after failing to sign a new deal at the club.
With one year left on his contract, Kylian Mbappe has made his intention known to the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy that he wants to leave in June 2024 as a free agent, which has naturally angered the club.
As a result of the broken relationship between the two teams, Paris Saint-Germain don’t want Kylian Mbappe to leave for free and are currently looking for a buyer, with the current concern being that Real Madrid will sign him for free in less than 12 months.
At one stage of the transfer Saga, Paris Saint-Germain received a world record bid of £259 million from Saudi Arabia’s Pro League giant Al-Hilal, but the 24-year-old attacker showed no interest in a transfer to the Middle East despite his potential earnings, which are likely to reach £700 million.
Paris Saint-Germain are currently in a position where they are not expecting realistic offers for Kylian Mbappe due to their asking price.
The 24-year-old is training at the team’s new state-of-the art training complex in Poissy, which was unveiled in July and cost the club £257 million to build. His teammates are currently in South Korea for the preseason.
