Ozil is a creative force that has been wasted by Arsenal

Arsenal outcast, Mesut Ozil has lauded some Arsenal fans for their support in this hard time and wasted no time in firing back at Piers Morgan.

The midfielder was believed to have been frozen out of the first team due to internal issues concerning salary reduction during the COVID-19 break. Since the restart, Ozil is yet to kick a ball for the Gunners.

During last season that Arsenal was getting results, much attention was not on his absence as Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal board stick to their guns of not featuring the former Germany international.

But now that the domestic form of the Gunners is questionable with no win in four straight Premier League games, fans have been asking for the return of Ozil.

The future of Mesut Ozil looked bleak at Arsenal

Unfortunately, that won’t be sudden as that can only be done in January. But from the look of things, Arsenal might go for another creative midfielder during the winter transfer window as it seems that Ozil has played his last game for the club.

Ozil lauded the fans for their support with a tweet: “The feeling of having fans behind you… #grateful #bestfans #hardtimes.”

Ozil replies Piers Morgan after describing him as overrated and overpaid at Arsenal

There is no doubt that Ozil usually trends each time Arsenal get bad result especially.

Ozil has always wish the team the best each time they are about to play, showing that his mind is still with the team.

However, an ardent Arsenal fan and British presenter, Piers Morgan reacted to Ozil’s post, describing the midfielder as Arsenal’s Paul Pogba who is overatted and overpaid.

“Real Arsenal fans aren’t behind you. You’re our Paul Pogba – massively overpaid, massively under-performing, & shockingly overinflated sense of your own importance. #truth,” he tweeted.

As expected Ozil hit back at Morgan over his tweet and wrote: “Piers, buddy, are you still bitter from the other day. It seems like you’re not a big fan of World Champions. I wish you would see as good as you hear things.”

What’s the furture of Ozil at Arsenal? Will Arteta and Arsenal change their mind and put him in the team come January?

These are other questions will get answers soon.
