Nigerian singer and songwriter Omah Lay was at Camp Nou to watch the Spanish La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Celta Vigo on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
Omah Lay, who is popular for hit songs like “Bad Influence”, ” You”, “Godly”, and a host of other songs, met with Barca’s youngster Ansu Fati after the league game which ended 3-1 in favor of second-placed FC Barcelona.
Ansu Fati is a highly rated 19-year-old Bissau-Guinean-born Spanish left-winger. He is one of the youngsters seen as the direct replacement for the legendary Lionel Messi who left the club in 2021 for Paris Saint Germain after 16 years.
Fati who made his debut for Spain national team on September 3, 2020, seems to be a big fan of Omah Lay based on a clip that went viral after the Spanish footballer met with the 24-year-old Nigerian singer.
In the clip, Fati is dressed casually with some accessories in his left hand. The 19-year-old Barca star shook hands with the people that were with Omah Lay before he shook hands with the musician and embraced him while screaming ‘Omah Lay’.
The musician told Fati that he watched the game while the footballer asked him what he thought about the game. They stood there facing each other for some seconds chitchatting.

Afterward, a picture surfaced showing the Spain international presenting his Barca jersey to the Nigerian musician.
Note that due to consistent reoccurrence of injuries, Ansu Fati managed to play just 12 games in all competitions so far in the 2021-2022 season in which he scored 6 goals and provided an assist.
The 19-year-old winger whose transfer market value is €60 million has until June 30, 2027, before his contract with FC Barcelona expires.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Omah Lay met with another FC Barcelona footballer, Ousmane Dembele after Barca’s 3-1 win over Celta Vigo. The video of their meeting went viral just like that of Omah Lay and Fati.
In the short clip featuring Dembele and the Nigerian musician, the “Bad Influence crooner was seen posing with the 24-year-old French right-winger like two close pals.

Note that Ousmane Dembele has scored 2 goals and provided 11 assists in 30 games in all competitions so far in the 2021-2022 season. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner whose transfer market value is €30 million has until June 30, 2022, before his contract with Spain expires.
