Olympique Marseille have completed the signing of Inter Milan youngster Valentin Carboni on a loan deal until the end of the season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the details of the deal are a €1 million loan fee paid to sign the player and a buy-option clause worth €35 million if the player performs beyond expectations.
Also, Inter Milan have the option to sign the player back for a transfer fee worth €40 million if he joins Marseille on a permanent basis.
He is expected to be a great addition to the Olympique Marseille squad. The Ligue 1 giant are looking forward to competing with other teams in the upcoming 2024–25 season.
Carboni is capable of making key passes in important matches, coupled with the fact that he makes decisions so quickly in the final third of the game.
However, when it comes to making aerial duels with opponents, he finds it difficult to survive.
Carboni was one of the most entertaining young people in the 2024 Copa America. He emerged from the Inter Milan youth academy over the years.
In the 2023–24 Serie A season, his performance caught the attention of Monza fans while he was on loan at the club. He scored two goals and created four assists.

They are currently in talks with Arsenal over the signing of Eddie Nketiah. However, the two clubs are currently apart over the transfer fee with Arsenal demanding for at least €35 million.
