Olivier Giroud, a former Arsenal and Chelsea striker, is just five goals away from breaking Thierry Henry’s all-time scoring record after scoring in France’s triumph over the Ivory Coast.

Giroud, 35, scored his 47th goal for the world champions in Marseille, heading in a cross from AC Milan teammate Theo Hernandez.

For Les Bleus, Henry scored 51 goals.

The African team took the lead through Arsenal forward Nicolas Pepe, but Aurelien Tchouameni regained it late on.
