Manchester City veteran defender John Stones has confirmed his engagement to his long-time girlfriend Olivia Naylor.
The 30-year-old has been in amorous relationship with the entrepreneur since 2019 and got engaged to her during a romantic getaway following his team’s Euro 2024 defeat to Spain.
Stones, with 79 international caps, played every game for the Three Lions during the Euro tournament in Germany. He and his teammates were heartbroken after a close 2-1 defeat to Spain in the final.
Following the disappointment, the Premier League star seized the chance to propose to his partner Olivia during a sunny vacation getaway as a way to unwind.
33-year-old Olivia announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself standing beside a champagne, cake and flowers with a backdrop that read: “Engaged AF!’ and captioned it, ‘Mrs Stones to be’.
The successful entrepreneur Olivia Naylor also shared a picture of a celebratory cake, declaring ‘love is sweet’.
Meanwhile, the Manchester City ace John Stone has not spoken out about the engagement but insiders say that being together is what matters most to them.
A source told The Sun: ‘They’re over the moon. They’re a gorgeous couple and are utterly devoted to one another.
‘Being together, as a couple and as a family, means more to them than anything.’
